Have I become shorter?

Thumbs Up
Hello guys! I’m new here and this is my first thread. I am usually 172 cm tall but lately I have been measuring myself and suprisingly enough, I was below 170 cm, like 168/169 cm (I have measures myself a few days and it is always the same result). Now, I have no problem with this, as I wish myself to be shorter (165 is goals!). Now I am wondering, is it possible that I have shrunken? I can add that I’m only 19 years old.

Ps: English is not my mother language so please excuse me if my grammar is incorrect etc.

Thanks!

Hi Eliza and welcome to the forum.

No it's pretty much impossible for a person to lose height at your age. My guess is you measured yourself at 172cm in the morning. We're like half an inch taller or more right after we wake up. The extra height is called "morning height" and it takes several hours to lose it all.

Thank you! :Smile yeah, that could be the explaination, but now that I live in Germany, I have noticed that I am like 171 cm in the morning and during the day I am 168/169. Back in Sweden, I was 175 in the morning and 172/173  during the day. I know and remember all this because I was so insecure about my height in High School and Secondary School

172 cm is a great height for a female I don't know why you hate it. It's tall but not too tall.

How is that possible  Huh

Does Sweden lack gravity or something?

Clearly she didn't measure herself properly. Here's how to do it right:
