5'8 guy I know is very vocal about his height
#1
In class we had to give our heights in a spreadsheet and this 5'8 dude constantly made jokes about him being a "short guy" at only 5'8. Everyone was confused because they never thought of him as short before. He also weirdly said that his "excuse" for being short was that he has French ancestry and apparently french people are short (even though they obviously are not)

The next day he showed up to class in a thick heeled pair of Timberlands. I almost burst out laughing. He now wears them everyday on campus.

Nowadays, he refers to himself as a "short white guy". I can barely hold a straight face when around him. Is it normal for a 5'8 guy to call himself short?

I bet $1000 he is an r/short subscriber

Lol, is he really 5'8"? This is nothing new, there have been many posts about 5'8" guys whining about their height like they're 5'0".  They also notoriously wear timbs, knowing they can get really close to average in most places. You should ask him if he browses it lol, I would put money on it too. It's easy for him to complain because he's not really short. If the cops were looking for a short guy he would get away with the crime.

I know one guy who's 5'8 but constantly walks on his tippy toes. It's honestly pretty sad and pathetic. One time he wore lifts so big that his feet couldn't fit into his shoe. He walked like a 14 year old girl who was new to high heels. It looked like he was standing on someone elses shoulders or something. And literally everyone was smirking at him. I swear it's only 5'8 guys that do dumb shit like this.

I used to do that shit when I was 5'8", I was alot younger then though, it's pretty pathetic looking back. It's funny how they think  no one notices, yet people are obviously laughing right in front of them. I feel bad for guys 5'5" and under who have to listen to the 5'8" dumbasses complain and exaggerate heightism.

It's usually the other way around. Many people think 5'8" is short but most legit 5'8ers don't feel short.
