I understand why people tend to inflate their height, given the social advantages that come with being seen as taller. That said, a height inflation of two inches is a very obvious and noticeable difference. Two inches is about the length of your forehead, so someone two inches shorter than you would have an eye line roughly at the bottom of your nose.

The difference between 5'11" and 5'9" is roughly demonstrated by the attached image.

He is a man that is very slightly below average inflating himself to above average. I am 6'0 and I cant imagine myself claiming 6'2
